Setback requirements determine how far structures must be from property lines. These minimums apply to most residential construction in unincorporated Juneau County.

Side yard: 10 ft minimum for one side, 25 ft aggregate both sides (20,000 sq ft lots). Water setback: 75 ft from ordinary high water mark. Highway setbacks vary by class (Class A: 70 ft from ROW, Class B/C: 50 ft from ROW, Class D: 30 ft from ROW). Certain special uses require 40 ft setback from exterior lot lines.
