Where To Find It
Open a property you own, then tap Pro Tools in the menu. Snapshot lives in Ground View rather than the menu.
Restoring Pro Tools
Reinstalled or on a new device? Settings → Restore Purchases brings it back. There is no account to sign into.
Measurements Look Off
Measurements use your GPS position. Check the signal chip first — it says plainly when the reading can be trusted and what to do when it cannot.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the property boundaries?
ParcelVision displays boundary data sourced from public records. While we strive for accuracy, boundaries shown are for reference only and may not reflect recent changes, subdivisions, or corrections. For legal or official purposes, always consult a licensed land surveyor.
Why does the app need my location?
ParcelVision uses your GPS location to position your property boundary on the ground as you walk it. Without location access, the on-the-ground view cannot function. Finding a parcel does require sending the spot you searched to our data providers — we keep no location history and run no servers that store it. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Can I use the app offline?
Yes! Once you've downloaded a property, you can view its boundaries offline. You'll need an internet connection to initially search for and purchase properties.
How do I share a property with someone else?
You can export any purchased property as a .parcel file and share it via text, email, or AirDrop. The recipient can import the file into their ParcelVision app to view the boundaries — or, if they don't have the app, they can open it on any device at parcelvision.app/view.
Can I transfer purchases to a new device?
Property purchases are stored locally on your device. If you get a new phone, you can export your properties as .parcel files and import them on the new device. Note: You cannot restore property purchases through the App Store or Google Play, as each one is a one-time, consumable transaction.
Why can't I see the boundary lines?
If boundaries aren't appearing in Boundary View, try these steps:
- Ensure location services are enabled for ParcelVision
- Move to an open area with clear GPS signal
- Wait a few seconds for GPS accuracy to improve
- Make sure you're near the property you've purchased
- Restart the app if issues persist
Is this a replacement for a land survey?
No. ParcelVision is a visualization tool for reference purposes only. It should never be used as a substitute for a professional land survey. For any legal matters, property disputes, construction, or official documentation, you must hire a licensed surveyor.
How do I request a refund?
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. On iPhone, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple's refund process. On Android, request the refund from your Google Play order history.
